Tron Legacy n Gulliver Travels

Had a chance to watch those two in 3d's. Tron Legacy,been waiting for this for a while but got a mixed feelin after the show. To prepared on watching this, I've downloaded the 1982 version. I am so impressed with the current technology and how they trying to described future at that time. The storyline was simple but original.its more focus on the character and how the game was built towards it. But Legacy storyline is much more predictable and more focus on the CGI effect. I felt rather flat.

Gulliver's Travel. I do expect more from Jack Black. Storyline wise, its not that important in most Jack's movie but its not that funny. His usual rock n roll is expected and yet not that funny anymore. I personally think that his performance in Nacho Libere is far more better than this. The 3D effect also failed to impress. At least, Tron Legacy shows better CGI effect.

Microsoft Reveals Windows Phone 7 Update Features

Microsoft has started a dedicated website for Windows Phone 7 updates which are scheduled to hit devices soon. We know that the Copy/Paste update is close by as Microsoft reconfirmed it for early 2011.

The site is referring to the most recent update which is about to hit devices soon, counting the features and fixes it will add to current Windows Phone 7 devices. While there's no mention of update codenames nor the time of the deploy, the first feature mentioned is indeed Copy/Paste, as Joe Belfiore announced it at the platform launch keynote.

The update will allow you to Copy text from emails, text messages, web pages, and Office Mobile documents and Paste wherever text input is available. As far as the process is concerned, "just tap a word, slide your finger to highlight any additional text, then tap the Copy icon. To insert this text in a message or app, just tap the spot where it should go, then tap the Paste icon".

Performance improvements seem to be also present in the upcoming update to deliver faster apps and games. The time to launch applications and games, as well as times needed for these to resume have been allegedly shortened to make things easier and faster.

Marketplace search has been improved to get context sensitive results. As an effect, pressing the Search button within the Apps section of Marketplace will only bring up App title results. Same works for games and music so you will no longer be presented with a common list of results scattered all over the sections of the Marketplace.

If you haven't disabled the Phone Updates check within the Settings of your Windows Phone 7, the device will automatically notify you of the existence of a refresh via a pop-up message, after which you need to connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable to apply.

Windows Phone 7 Marketplace now has more than 20,000 developers

In line with the ever increasing number of applications, the number of developers registered for the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace continues to increase.
On the 23 November Microsoft touted 15,000 developers, a month later on the 21 December 18,000, and at CES yesterday Steve Ballmer noted there were now more than 20,000 producing more than 100 apps per day. At that run rate the Windows Phone 7 marketplace should surpass the Blackberry app world’s 16,000 odd apps in less than a quarter.
Steve Ballmer also noted customer satisfaction was high, saying “When people see the phone, they fall in love with it… Nine out of ten customers say they’d recommend the phone.”
These metrics should only continue to improve, with the addition soon of important elements such as cut and paste and faster application resumption.

Toshiba announces unnamed Tegra 2-powered Android tablet, waits only for Honeycomb

Let the Tegra 2-powered, Android Honeycomb tablet announcements begin! Apparently (and understandably) staying away from a Folio 2 moniker, Toshiba is kicking off CES with its new unnamed 10.1-inch Android tablet, and we have to say from our brief look at a non-working unit a few weeks ago, it may just have what it takes to stick out from the rest.. at least on the spec and manufacturing quality front. The tablet has a capacitive, high 1280 x 800-resolution display along with an accelerometer and ambient light sensor (or what Toshiba has dubbed as Adaptive Display technology). It also has a 5 megapixel rear camera as well as a 2 megapixel front-facing one. Yep, this one is well stocked and just a quick look at the pictures below will show that the slab has got full sized USB and HDMI jacks, a single mini-USB socket, and an SD card slot.

While we couldn't turn on the dual-core Tegra 2-powered tablet, which will eventually run "the next version of Android designed for tablets" aka Honeycomb, we have to say the EasyGrip, spill-resistant, rubberized back felt really solid in hand and the 1.7-pound, .6-inch thick tablet felt comparable to the iPad in terms of portability. Oh, and did we mention that the aforementioned rear cover is swappable, so not only can you change its color but you can replace the battery? We told you it had some of the ingredients to make it go far, but we're obviously lacking quite a bit of information here to make any further decisions. Toshiba's maintaining that the tablet will be released in the first half of 2011 and the pricing will be competitive, but we'll be digging for more when we get to Vegas and hopefully reporting back with some impressions of a working unit.

My HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7

Its been 2 weeks since i've joined the Phone 7 bandwagon. What i can shared with you, the new phone 7 OS is so smooth. I personally think its a lot smoother than the Iphone. The Metro UI is drop dead gorgeous. The phone itself feels high end and love the kick stand.Phone 7 experience is totally different. It move away from most of the others OS, which is app base. Live tiles concept is new and refreshing. Of coz, its not a perfect OS but Microsoft has done a great job with Phone 7. I do hope that January update will include the missing pieces of what most people wanted in nowadays smartphone.I've been using a lot of phone and Windows Phone 7 is definitely the best for me.

Toshiba Folio 100

Had a chance to get my hands on the suppose to be another IPAD challenger. But unfortunately, nope. On paper, its a vastly superior product. Web cam, Flash support, HDMi output, SD card etc... but overall, its like an unfinished product. The plasticy feeling is there. The accelerometer is not as fast or smooth as IPAD. There's also some reports on the net that there's been a glitch on the system and the Flash support and the droids market place is still nowhere to be found. Hopefully, Toshiba will immediate rectify the problems. As for me, I can live with the plasticy feeling as it wouldn't bother me at all. All the proper ingredient is there already.

What a weekend!!!!

Its been a very busy week for me. Since wednesday, been to Twisted Media in Bangsar twice. Thursday, studio photosoot the whole day and then came Friday. Morning, go to office to save data to bring along again to Twisted Media. Afternoon, from Bangsar straight to Putrajaya for backplate photoshoot for our project. Shoot in bracketing ( in RAW mode using the 5D MKII ). Finished shooting at 6pm and go back home. At 8pm, drove back to Ipoh. Stayed overnight then drove back to Rawang at 5am! At 10am, studio photoshoot with 3 talents!! Finished shooting at 7pm. Totally exhausted and cancelled the night shooting around KL. When straight to bed and this morning, cycling with my bro at Guthrie Hi-way. ( dunno if have anything left in the tank !)

LG Optimus 7 made official ahead of Windows Phone 7 launch

Microsoft's been really keen to keep all the Windows Phone 7 fanfare to itself, but LG's equally zealous official UK blog has just thwarted that effort by posting both details and a gallery of images of the company's Optimus 7 (aka E900) handset online. To be fair to them, it's nothing a ton of leaks haven't already revealed: the Optimus 7 will be a 3.8-inch touchscreen device, sporting WVGA (800 x 480) resolution, 16GB of onboard storage, a 5 megapixel camera with a 720p video mode, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, a digital compass, and your usual proximity and ambient light sensors. Also present will be that DLNA streaming functionality we saw at IFA, officially titled Play-To, which will be exclusive to LG's phones along with Voice-to-Text and Scansearch, the former being a message transcriber and the latter acting as an augmented reality real-time search service. Intriguing.

Samsung Omnia 7 brings 4-inch Super AMOLED screen to Windows Phone 7

Boy, there's hardly been enough time to catch our breath and analyze the first unintentionally official Windows Phone 7 handset in the form of LG's Optimus 7, yet Samsung is already joining the fray with its own Omnia 7. Currently populating its very own landing page on Samsung's Russian site, the Omnia 7 is a 4-inch Super AMOLED beastie with a rather aged 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 at its core, 8GB of storage, and a 5 megapixel cam that can do 720p video. Hit up the source link before somebody over in Moscow wakes up and realizes that Windows Phone 7 isn't meant to be launching for another few hours.

Windows Phone 7 to Launch with 2,000 Applications

Many are eagerly awaiting for the launch of the Windows Phone 7, and with good reason — the platform looks decent. Windows Phone fans now have one more reason to be excited about new mobile OS by Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft . It appears that early adopters will have 2,000 applications to choose from at launch. The information comes from a leaked image of a Three U.K. document [pictured], which corroborates the October 21 launch date of Windows Phone 7 in the U.K.

While 2,000 applications might seem very low compared to the 250,000 applications found in the Apple App Store, I believe that the number is more than great for a new platform — given that all of the applications present are good apps.

With that said, Windows Phone 7 will be introduced on Monday, October 11 at events in New York City, New York and London, U.K. The actual Windows Phone 7 hardware is expected to arrive on October 21 in the U.K. and other European countries, and on or around November 8 here in the United States.

It’s definitely an exciting time for Microsoft and fans alike. Hopefully, Windows Phone 7 will deliver.

Cycling at Guthrie Highway

Wakeup 630am and drive straight to Bkt Jelutong and meet up with my bro. Joined together with a few riders along the route. The pace was just too high at the moment and could not keep up. The legs felt too heavy and didn't had power to push further. Basically, happy with today outcome as this is the first time hit the road. Indoor trainer proven and need to increase the cadence.

Will have the opportunity to ride at Guthrie tomorrow morning. Its a milage ride with high cadance setting. Hopefully, everything will went well.

Stayed overnight and when photo shooting at Orchard Rd and Marina Bay. Its a fun tripped n already planned for the next. Will upload the photo later as need to carefully select the best photo.

Will be at Singapore from Oct 2nd till 3rd for group photo shoot. Hopefully can shoot a lot of nice scenery and havin' a lot of fun. The trip purpose is solely photo shoot with the rest come later...including shopping.

Just bought myself a desktop pc for my photo editing works. Spec wise should be sufficient with Intel i3 , 4gb ram, a Cuda base graphic card wuth 1GB texture memory n 500gb hard disc. All for RM2150 plus a Samsung 21'monitor.
