My Laptop are getting old.....hurm

My 5 years old laptop is giving up again. After a few month running smoothly with windows 7, now i see troubles. Something to do with the graphic it didn't support! It surely support during the first few month but sadly, it won't now. I'm a bit confused but need to downgrade back to WIndows XP to see if the problem was the unsupported graphic drivers. If not, I surely will miss my beloved laptop and welcome a new PC. Have a lot of editing to do from my studio photoshoot and needed a computer ASAP...duhhh
